Springsoca queens unsung in Match Day One of WAFA league.


On a sunny Sunday evening in the Week one encounter of the WAFA league witnessed an impressive turn out of spectators who eagerly filled the match venue to capacity.
  Springsoca Queens dressed in their traditional lemon colour outfit, while Moremi Queens were in their orange jerseys ready for what looks like a promising encounter for both teams.
It lived up to expectation as Springsoca Queens were on the front foot immediately after the blast of the kick off whistle, they pressured and attacked.
The inferno like tempo of play continued until the 15th minute of the game when Springsoca Queens captain --Folashade Ijamilusi broke the deadlock with a brilliant finish to the esctacy of the home fans.
   Moremi queens were a determined and spirited side that gave their all to the match but fell to the superiority of the home side as they conceded four goals in the first half, with goals coming from Folashade Ijamilusi and Marvis Nicholas
     The referee signaled the half time whistle and the coaches had the opportunity to dish out instruction to their players. Looking well informed and better prepared Moremi queens kicked off the second half as they exchanged passes between each other connecting strongly coming close to the defense area of the opposing team but couldn't convert their chances.
Springsoca Queens resisted several pressure and became too strong for their opposition. It became an harvest of goals for them as they put three additional goals past Moremi Queens goal keeper in the second half bringing the score to a tally 7-0 in favor of the host at the final blast of the day.
The coaches expressed themselves after the match in a post match interview with the media and the Springsoca Queens' coach was quick to thank God for the success and he praise the tenacity of Moremi Queens and commended his girls for a job well done and encouraged them not to become complacent but to take each match the way they come.
       The calm and collected Moremi coach appreciated his host and was not deterred by the scoreline but valued their chances in the lead. He praised the determination of his lass and hailed the performance of his host.
