WAFA LEAGUE KICKS OFF IN STYLE.
The Women Accredited Football Academies (WAFA) league earlier scheduled to kick-off four weeks ago has finally received a boost and would commence today Thursday 8th, June 2017.
The league which is meant to foster female football development at the amateur level would feature sixteen female teams across the country in participation.
All participating teams are grouped in an abridged format with teams such as Ife Queens, Robo Dream Team, Jojo Queens, Fc Phoenix Queens, Young talent 99 fc, Vision Queens, Ijamido Queens and Lakeside Queens in the Group A category while teams such as Springsoca Queens, Jagunmolu Queens, Royaltoms Queens, Kadesh Queens, Moremi Queens, Moje Queens, Dream stars Queens and Victory Queens slug it out in the Group B category.
Following the fixtures as released by the WAFA League LOC matches are to commence for the Week One fixtures.
This league event promises to be a ashowcase of Nigeria's finest youngest and fittest female footballers at the grassroot level.
